The Armadillo is a manual hand-held wheeled scanner that allows the operator to perform a quick assessment on elbows, pipes, tank walls and flooring. It is very effective in areas where there is tight access or geometry challenges. It allows for encoded B-Scan and is used with Flaw Detectors and Thickness gauges. The Armadillo is used predominantly in the petrochemical industry and in water treatment plants for in-service pipeline and tank wall base assessments.
