NDT Systems: Ultrasonic Transducers

		*OPTIMA Standard Contact* transducers are rugged transducers designed for applications where rough handling is expected, where access is not limited, and/or relatively large element size and high power is needed. These units are commonly used on mill-finished wrought metals, forgings, extrusions and castings, or rough-machined materials.

Features - The heavy-duty stainless steel case and polished wear-resistant alumina protective wear plate assure long life under rough handling conditions. The exclusive positive-control "feel", even if covered with couplant. Labels are frequently color-coded and are overcoated to prevent loss of identification information. All are tuned with internal matching networks for maximum narrowbanded performance, and can be used with any commercial flaw detector. Standard contacts are especially designed for use with instruments having tuned, narrowband receivers, but also produce excellent results with instruments offering only broadbanded receivers.
