In addition to the significant user setup abilities listed above the 950 also offers a host of other features simply not found on competitive units.
SPEED. The Nova 950 has an alarm and B-Scan acquisition response of 500Hz!! That's with the display in the Live Mode!! No need to put the gage into a "Min Capture" mode to scan at a pitiful 32Hz and hope the gage shows you the real low reading. Did you know that most thickness gages available today have an update rate of ONLY 2 to 4 Hz?? A higher speed allows you to speed the inspection process with a quick snappy display and acquisition rates unheard of in a handheld.
Scrolling B Scan: An Industry First, originally introduced in the Nova TG110. Customers liked this feature so much we carried the concept to the TG930 EXCEPT, acquisition rate is 500Hz!! Once you start using this feature you will wonder why it hasn't been done before. This is a feature others are just picking up on. We suppose they thought it was a good idea too !!
Scan Bar: An Industry First, Originally introduced in the Nova TG110. This is a feature at the bottom of the screen representing an analog view of the current thickness as a bar at the bottom of the screen. The scale of this bar can be set to the minimum and maximum range expected in thickness (for example 0.010 to 0.300). This makes changes in thickness very obvious.
Why did we do this? The human mind does not do well with a series of 7 segment numerals changing frequently and then drawing trend information. The mind does quite will with graphic trend data. For this reason Our Scan Bar and Scrolling B-Scan are very useful tools in reducing the fatigue that can come from interpreting changing values.
50,000 Point Data Logger: Offers the user the ability to create as many log files as will fit within 50,000 points. Also, the log files can be named in an alpha numeric format for easy recognition of the log specifics. The log can be created in either a "Grid" (spreadsheet format) or a linear series. These files can then be downloaded to a PC at a later date.
Prompt For Thickness: Have a system where you want to log thickness information directly to a PC or other external device? Simply send the TG950 an ASCII '?' and the current thickness will be returned.
USB or RS232 Output
Other Features include High & Low Alarm Limits, "Live" Minimum Thickness Capture, Differential Measurement, Fully Adjustable Velocity, Auto Zero or 2 Point Calibration and more..
